New thermostat, fan switch , fan comes on, still overheats . Upper hose hot, same lower hose but both are hard feels like the water is not circulating . Bad water pump, or head gasket ?

Most likely pump. Head gasket will usually put hot gases into the cooling system and will appear as bubbles in the cooling fluid container. It may also feed lubrication oil into the coolant. The coolant pump is driven by fan belts. Make sure you are not missing any belts.

Have a 91 nissan pick-up staight 4 have it over heated oce replace thermostat and hose upper ran it for a day got hot again took out the thermostat and still gets hot what is the deal please help lee....

Replace the water pump, and also check for air in the system. Make sure the vehicle is cool, remove the radiator cap, start the vehicle and start pumping the lower radiator hose with your hand to help remove any air pockets in the cooling system. I would try this first before looking at the water pump or the fan since you let air into the system the minute that you removed the hose to install the thermostat and upper radiator hose

2002 Jetta 1.8T blew 40A cooling fan fuse - overheated, destroyed 4 way cooling hose connector - replaced all- now it still runs very hot, inside temp reads 190 (but temp is much higher), cooling fans run...

Then replace the thermostat, because if on lower hose not hot and on upper hose scalding hot = antifreeze flow blocked by the thermostat wich remains closed!!!

Need to replace the water pump on my 1997 mitsubishi mirage? Are there other components that need to be changed

If nothing in the cooling system has been touched in the life of the vehicle, you should have the cooling system flushed, new thermostat and new hoses (upper/lower radiator hoses and input/output heater core hoses). A new belt probably wouldn't hurt, but it all depends on the maintenance history of the car.
