You need to check two things for Ford A/C:
1) Verify that the proper levels of old/r134a are present, you can do this your self it takes only a cheap gauge and a thermometer, you will need to check both the low and high side pressures.
What you are looking for is that both sides read what they should for the ambient temp outside, at 95F it is around 42 on the low side and 275 on the high side.
2) Make sure the A/C clutch is kicking in.
Most problems are going to be ring leakage that causes low fluid levels, or a hole in the dryer that does the same thing. If you have proper levels and the clutch is still not locking in and turning the compressor and you do not have the tools or knowledge to start replacing parts take it to a shop and have them look at it.
If you want to post the results of the above test I will try to help more.
SOURCE: Ford Escort 1998 fuel pump not working.
good old ford lol, try looking at the crank sensor its located at the front of the engine tucked in right hand side of exhaust manifold and gearbox, two pin plug, i have also known these to have no end of faults with the fusebox.
easy to remove, and solder the connections inside they all suffer eventually, if your not to handy with cars i recommend taking to a auto electrician, easy if you know how. Good luck Davelee

CHECK THE COOLANT LEVEL. IF IT IS TOO LOW, THEN THE HEATER CORE WILL NOT GIVE YOU HEAT LIKE IT IS SUPPOSE TO. OR PERHAPS THE HEATER CORE IS CLOGGED. CHECK IT OUT AND KEEP ME POSTED PLEASE. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA AND FOR AN HONEST RATING TOO. GOOD LUCK
SOURCE: Blower on the heater/AC not working on 1998 Escort, checked fuse under dash?
Ok, first off, check the fuses under the dash. If they're all good, does the blower work only on high speed? If yes, then you have a bad blower motor resistor, which is located under the hood, near the blower motor itself. If the motor doesnt work at all at any fan speed, make sure the wiring harness that plugs into the motor under the hood is clean and tightly installed. If it still doesnt operate, sometimes tapping on the blower motor housing will kick it on, but if that doesnt work, you may have to replace the blower motor. They are available aftermarket, and arent usually too expensive.
