My 2003 Grand Marquis just clicks when I try to start it and won't start.

It was running fine and I've had hop problem. When I went to start it in the morning, it just clicked and would not start or turn over. every time you turn the key there is a clicking noise.

Possibly needs a battery. Have the battery tested by an auto parts store. If battery tests good then problem is most likely the starter.

Yes there may be a recall open on this vehicle for the catalytic converter. The number is 04E12.
Go to this website and pick recalls from the left task bar and input your VIN and check to see if your vehicle is involved.
http://www.genuineservice.com/genuineservice/en/default?page=genuineService

There is also a technical service bulletin out for a rattle in the catalytic converters which maybe what you are describing and this would be covered under the 8yr/80000 miles federal emissions warranty.

Hi I'm litoshop if you just put in a new tranny first check the neutral switch that is correctly adjusted then check if the starter is correctly installed check the thin wire that comes from the ignition switch and if everything looks ok then try to start the motor directly on the starter good luck if this information has been helpful please let us know thank you

SOURCE: Fuel issue on 2001 Grand Marquis

most cars have an oil pressure sensor that is tied into the fuel system that will shut off fuel pump if oil pressure is low. Ford is famous for having a yellow fuel pump cut off switch that activates in a collision - you need to locate and check this 1st

My PRNDL don't work, loose shift indicator won't go into gear. Plenty of transmission fluid, no obvious wear or breakage, what do I do now?

When you turn the key to the ON position are there any instrument lights on the dash? Does the radio work? If not, dead battery.

My 1985 grand Marquis won't start I can pour gas

Take the gas filter off. Should be located near the front of the carbeurator, take off the air cleaner and look for it, it takes 2 wrenches to take it off, a little gas may spill out but not much and replace it, however there is a strong possibility that he gas pump is out if the filter is fine. Hope this helps

Hi Roger, Sounds to me as if you may have a problem with the anti theft unit in your vehicle. A diagnostic scan would help greatly to pin point the problem. Regards John

So Dim Lights--that is a problem obviously
You will have to have that diagnosed,I won't guess
at it. Only visual inspection & testing will establish why their dim
