Question about Ford Focus

1 Answer

I went to local car garage to have them help me put wind shield wiper fluid in my car. They could not get the hood open and one of them put something like a screw driver to release latch and now you can put the key in but it does not turn at all. It did however before they touched the car. What can I do?

Florence don't know which focus you have so i'll give you bad news in both shapes of focus
1.you'll need new grille as it has to get cut away & to open up with screwdriver.
2.also need new barrel & lock kit for key
3.bonnet latch has to be removed to get bonnet lock in.
this applies to older models.
for newer models
1.grille has to be cut
2.will req latch & connecting rod
would advise that your local ford dealer to do this esp if it is older model for getting your key no. right for lock as they usually have key no.

2010 Reg Ford Focus 5 door hatch rear screen wash not working. Front is OK. How do I fix it?

the washer fluid could be empty / the fuse for the wiper blew / the relay went bad /if you tried to use the wipers without clearing ice away you blew the fuse/ if you just put water in instead of washer fluid it's frozen/ if the wiper works and there is windshield fluid in the tank and not water and all fuses are good the pump motor for the fluid went and is easy to change

Wind shield wiper fluid does not come out of the driver's side wiper but the passenger side works fine. How do I get the driver's side to work?

follow the rubber tubing from the passenger side, from where the fluid exits back towards the resivor and u will find a tee fitting where the tubing splits from pasenger to driver side. take it apart and blow compressed air thru it.

Cannot get the wind shield wiper motor back in the wind shield wiper stops in the middle of the wind shield

this is normally caused by a bad wiper motor or binding of the wiper gears and linkage arms.
check to see if the linkage arms are tight and not loose. also try and lube up the pivot points.
another thing to check is to make sure you have 12 volts to the heater.

Wind shield wipers stop have way up The wipers are on the wind shield it just stops in the middle but you can still hear the motor running

Under the bottom of the outside windshield you will see a grate with slots that let you look down inside. One of the arms connected to the wiper motor must have come loose. Might be as simple as a clip keeping the arm on slipped off and then the arm too. There should be screws to remove the grating in view either if you lift the hood and look on the firewall or even on top on the corners of the grating. You can take that off and get into the wiper motor area. Let me know if this helped and ppppplease leave me a good thumbs up for the effort. I need to keep my score up. Thanks, The Raz Shack

is the fluid going somewhere, check your hose to the wipers. Check your fuses, if this does not work motor may be bad but very unlikely.
