1988 Cadillac Deville drivers window shattered while up

I need to be led through the entire process of replacing the window.

I have started removing the door panel. I have removed two Phillips screws behind the door pull, one torx screw behind door handle, and all those pesky plastic door panel tabs, didn't break any, but two pulled free from the panel instead of the door. The panel is free all around the outside, but still securely attached to the door close to the arm rest.

I have tried to pull up and out on the arm rest as described in another thread. There are electric seat controls and a cabled rear view mirror adjustment knob on the arm rest.

The window control is still in the up position. The replacement window has the lower metal guide attached.

I need to know where the thermostat is located at on a 1988 cadillac seville

Hello: Drivers side under the hood follow the top radiator hose from the radiator to the top of the engine, remove hose from adapter on the engine, remove the two bolts holding the adapter, the thermostat is under the adapter. When replacing be sure to install it the same way the old one came out.

1992 cadillac deville, driver's side seat belt

OK, I had the same problem with my 1990 Cadillac Deville. Had to go to a junk yard where they gave me the entire bolted on assembly. I got a 3/8" impact wrench and unbolted the belt buckle from the frame, and did the same to the one on the assembly they gave me. After that my buckle worked great. The color even matched the old one.

1988 sedan deville cadillac runs good until

Sounds like the battery is weak or the alternator isn't providing enough amps to keep the engine running and power the lights at the same time.

1988 Cadillac Sedan DeVille

I do not know exactly on a 1988 Cadillac, I do not see many of them here in London, but often you have to remove a plastic cover to access the screws, the screws are on the armrest.
