Question about 1994 Nissan Sentra 4-Door

1 Answer

Car won't start

When I try to start tthe car. I get nothing. No sounds or anything. I've checked the battery. Cleaned the post and such. It has a full charge. Acts like there is a wire disconnected somewhere but I've looked everywhere I can see for one. If it wasn't for the lights on the dash, you'd think there wasn't a battery in the car.

I had the sameproblem there is a wire running from your positive battery post to your starter ,mounted on the transmission ( usually near the back and bottom) check to see if there is a bad connection between the battery and the starter and the starter to the fuse relay box. maybe he brushes on your starter have worn out thats an easy and cheap fix

CHECK BATTERY CONNECTIONS, STARTER CONNECTIONS, WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN IT DOESN'T START, TO GET IT GOING AGAIN, DO YOU GET A JUMP START IF SO CHECK CONNECTIONS.

1994 cadillac deville no crank

The PATS security system would prevent the engine from cranking if the system does not "see" the right chip in your key. If the system is working correctly, the light should go off after you turn the key switch on.
You should have power on the small starter wire when the key switch is in the start position.

I have 1999 Sunfire and it won't start everytime i try starting it all i can hear is a fast knocking noise in the starter i do have a new started in it, any idea's what would cause that ?

Check the battery's state of charge-might be too low. Check battery post connections. Clean and retighten them, and check battery ground, and connection of cable to starter. Sounds like starter is not getting full battery voltage to work.
