Put a safety pin head into the hole and pull up slowly and with firm pressure, mine did the same and seems to have worked.

Windshield wiper fluid won't spray high enough on windows. What could be the problem?

the small nozzle where the water comes out is actually a small ball and can be adjusted by inserting a small wire in the hole and moving it to where you want the water to spray to
it could be difficult to move as over time the ball corrodes into one spot in which , new sprayers are the fix

Windshield wipers won't work after removing battery to get to the windshield wiper pump that squirts fluid to clean windshield

Sometimes disconnecting the battery does more damage then you want it might have trip a fuse or relay check those if thats not it, maybe wiper motor or transmission went out.

Hi, i own a bmw x5 3.0 2005, and what i am asking about is how to fix my headlight sprays, i think they r not working

Hi mario,

Stand by the washer reservoir under the hood while someone operates the washers. The headlights must be in the on position for the sprayer to work. Attached to the reservoir will be 2 washer pumps. On pump is for the windshield washer, the other for the headlight washer. They are interchangeable for testing. The reservoir can be removed after removing the 2 black speed nuts. (use a 10mm socket and ratchet). Also make sure the grommet with screen under each pump is not full green algae. Your pump has most likely failed.

To adjust sprayer - use a needle or a paper clip, slide lightly into sprayer and you can aim sprayer. It might take an attempt or two but that's how they adjust them.

you could have a bad washer pump in the washer reservoir. Can you hear the pump run when you turn on the washers? It should hum pretty loud.

If yes, you could have frozen solvent in the ends of the nozzles. Are you in a very cold area?

If yes, use Prestone yellow washer solvent, it doen't freeze like the cheap blue stuff.

I have a 1999 Audi a4 and the washer fluid sprays out off the windshield. Can anyone tell me how to adjust the sprayers?

all you need is like a toothpick, wire coat hanger, or something like that. where the fluid comes out of there are tiny pivoting balls. all you have to do is put the toothpick in the hole of the ball a little bit and then you can adjust it the way you would like from there!
