I HAVE A TOYOTA CELICA 2000 AUTOMATIC. I CLEANED THE BATTERY TERMINALS ONE NIGHT, WHEN I WAS CONNECTING THE POSITIVE THEIR WAS A SPARK. THE NEXT DAY I STARTED UP THE CAR AND DROVE IT, IT WOULD ACCELERATE SLOWLY. I ALSO HAD A PREVIOUS PROBLEM WHEN I START IT UP, IT TAKES A FEW TIMES TO START.. HOW CAN I FIX THIS?? IT IS THE FUEL PUMP OR FUEL INJECTORS.. WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR??
THANK YOU..

We can look at the MAF, if you want. Open the hood, and observe the air tube from the air filter box that leads to the intake/throttle body. On this tube, there is a small box with a wire connector, 5 wires. It is held on by 2 small screws. Unplug the wire connector, and remove the screws. Pull the MAF straight up. Spin it upside down, and, using a flashlight, observe the interior of the sensor. Way down in it, you will see 2 small wires. Are they fuzzy looking? Is there any small pieces of debris in there? Take a look and get back to me what you see in it. Check the air filter while the hood is up, too. Thanks.

Is the Check Engine light on? If so, you may have a VVT issue; please advise.

It might be your fuel injectors. The fuel injectors have been recalled. My 2000 gts was hesitating and i had the injectors cleaned and that fixed the problem. A month later i took it in for service and was advised that there was a recall on the fuel injectors.

There is another fuse wire in connecting side of holder itself. it is "C" like wire 3 to 4 mm length. Just behind the fuse holder.

Headlight switch toyota celica

The headlight control switch is on the steering column. To replace the switch remove the plastic trim covers over the steering tube to reveal the switch and connectors. Disconnect the battery negative cable before starting work, this is a must. Below is a picture of the switch.

How do you change a rear main oil seal in a 2000 toyota celica gt

First of all, be certain that the leak is in fact from that seal. many leaks travel to that area.

To change the seal is fairly involved, you need to pull the trans and flywheel. There are some specialzed tools involved. Do you have manual or automatic? Manual requires clutch plate alignment on re assembly, by the way , if manual, be sure to change the release bearing and pilot bearing at minimum. Commonly it would make sense to change the clutch during this process....you're already all the way in there..
