Unfortunately, I let it sit for about a year. Recently, I changed the impeller, the fluids and the battery. Checked the plugs and they seem ok. I had 'stabil' in the 9 gals in the onboard tank. The engine runs great without a load here in the driveway. When the two of us took it out today, if was less powerful than before. After we felt secure that it would not leave us stranded, we took about a 40 mile round trip down the Intercoastal Waterway. It's on a 19' 2003 Fiberglass Hurricane Deck Boat. It topped out at about 30 knots. It used to top out about 40 knots. The first thing I noticed that was not normal was when I gave it full throttle, it would reduce power after about 3/4 throttle. Latter in the day and after I added 5 gal of fresh gas, it progressively got worse and at the end of the day was only able to get about 20 knots. I checked the one fuel filter that I am aware of several times during the day and found no debris or water. Each time I blew inside out thru the filter. Anybody know what's up?

If your lazy... sounds like you might be in regards to this car than I would at least pull the plugs (inpect them for corrosion or damage and squirt oil in the cylinders not too much, you cant spin the engine after 4years without lubricating the motor. Than see if it combusts using starting fluid, it it does fire then address the fuel system and clean. Good Luck, I think you will be ok but 4 year old gas is like varnish...

Running rough?? If i took a guess I'd say there's a faulty injector. Does it smoke like hell ?? Does it also miss at idle?- If so get a line wrench and a rag handy. Start the car and while idling wrap the rag around the base of the fuel line connector on injector 1 and crack it just a bit until fuel comes out. It might spray, thus the rag. If the miss gets worse, that ain't the injector to blame. Continue with the other 3. If you crack a line and there is no or very little change in the miss then you found the guilty party.
On a long shot it could also be a stuck valve.
Did that get it?? It sounds like an issue other than MAF but.... get a multimeter and try probing the connecter to the MAF. When you find out what it is , please let me know. I'm curious
