Well if an expert told you and you trust and believe in him or her? I would go to part store and purchase that switch and then you would have a identity on it after all it is not like your going to need or use this switch. This method I suggested has been used and suggested in my past and has been to my attention effective good luck and hope this helped you out happy New Year

88 bronco 2 automatic v6 will sometimes not go in any gear but if I'm lucky it will kick in and go can anyone tell me the problem

the problem was changing that fluid! rarely happen, but it will happen when people change transmission fluid on older car then the car messed up. when you change the fluid you washed all the friction material on the clutch surface by putting in new fluid.

Iconverted my v6 engine to 3x with v6 gear box but it can not move very well. i mean when i select drive it can not move as usual what do i do?

This sounds rather like the No 1 or 2 shift solenoid has failed. This does happen in older V6 cars, but it should cause the O/D indicator light to blink a trouble code when the O/D switch is on.

Sounds like the transmission is worn out and will need a complete rebuild. I'd guess $2-3k. Sorry.

Timing gear, or timing belt, sometimes you find a plastic timing gear with broken teeth off of it, if you can believe that, sounds like a timing issue, sometimes you can take and move all the spark plugs wires on the distributor in a clockwise rotation, just move them around, keeping them in the same firing order, just advancing the spark without loosening the distributor, and see some improvement
