Tip

2002 and up Ford F350 Diesel Engine Oil in Belly pan low fuel mileage.

Ford Diesel engine blows off the intake rubber intake hoses, blue in color with 7.0 Liter. If you have a problem with this engine as stated above there is an updated hose for the intake tubes also remove the intake pipe on the turbo side of the turbo remove the 10MM bolt that holds the metal tube on to the block and remove the clamp on the turbo, remove tube. Next look at the turbo shaft inside do you see oil in the turbo? If no then grasp the turbo shaft and try moving it up or down and in and out. Any Movement The turbo needs to be rebuilt before replacing the Turbo hoses. If there is oil in the turbo then it needs to be rebuilt so stop at this time and decide what you want to do with it.
The turbo also has a flapper valve inside the turbo that goes bad at about 100,000 this is the boost waste gate and boost flapper valve, it is an internal gate unlike the mechanical ones on most turbo. If you have low power check the boost pressure with your boost gauge if you have less than 12 pounds of boost then it's time to look at the turbo. Of the Turbo I have rebuilt I have increased fuel mileage by 30 percent. If you want the details of how to gain the extra mileage post a comment to me or ask this question and I will get back to you for the procedure.

What type of engine oil should i use for a 2006 ford focus c max 1.8 tdci and how much

it is a diesel, so use specific diesel oil 10w 40 oil and the brand dosen't really matter as long as it is not a straight mineral oil
I used shell rotella for many years and had no wear problems

there are many comments as to when the oil should be changed.
engine oil ( other than straight mineral oil have additives included that
hold moisture in suspension ( short stop start operations --shopping , school kids)
have a tension additive to stop the oil squeezing out under bearing load pressures ( known as tensile strength and is used to keep the bearings separated from the crank journals under load)
cleaning additives to hold combustion acids and other contaminants in suspension ( sulphuric acid formed from the combustion process and escapes past the rings to the sump)
an additive to prevent carbonizing when hot ( requirement for turbos) Oil is passed through the turbo housing to lubricate and cool the high speed bearings and tends to boil off quickly)
oil changes have to be done no later than the specified service interval as this is the period of use when the additives have been neutralized and become useless. changing oil sooner will remove contaminates before they do damage and are beneficial to the long life of the engine
Professional mechanics will tell you that oil,if change on a regular basis, is a cheap mechanic

What type of oil do i use in a t reg ford focus

what is with brits and T or 55 plate ,this means nothing to me but some sort of secret code .anyway enough of my griping and question--- oil ,now best advice i can give here is to buy the cheapest oil you can ,either mineral or synthetic its ilrevelent then change oil every 6000miles and a oil filter every third oil change this will keep the engine clean inside ,you can use a diesel turbo oil as well which is better in fact as its a detergent oil ,never mind the pundits with their buy this oil at a silly price and only change it every million miles .This sort of thing causes clagging of built up carbon within the engine which kills it eventually ,Shell rotella 30 was what was put in the ford engin
es in the 70s when i worked in the quality control lab in dagenham and it was put in all the engines from the 997cc escort too the dorset line big turbo diesels that went into the ford "D" series .Does T plate mean 1978 ??? only made cortinas then real essex boys car was that and a 2 litre petrol transit .you could outrun most police cars with one of them in their time .

What type of engine oil is used for a diesel

go to any auto parts store, like an auto zone and tell them what you are driving. They have a data base which will guarantee that you get the exact oil that you need.

I use Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5W-40 , a fully synthetic supreme performance heavy duty diesel engine oil that helps extend engine life while providing long drain capability and potential fuel economy for modern diesel engines operating in severe applications. Mobil Delvac 1 ESP utilizes state-of-the-art technology to deliver exceptional performance in modern low emission engines, including those with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and Aftertreatment systems with Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF’s) and Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOC’s). Therefore we believe it will be a good oil for the high mileage vehicles with the proper care for your vehicles as recommended by your manufacturers' guidelines.

What oil should i use for ford mondeo turbo diesel

5 litres of Ford SAE 5w -30w (Formula E ) ...available from Ford (or sometimes a lot cheaper off Ebay).

If you try and use anything else,( eg 10w-30 etc)  then the turbo does not like it and the running becomes slightly sluggish

this tells me that the injector timing is off just a bit or you may have a weak injector all together.
