A toyota Marino 1993 model. if you crank there no spark out from distributer.. what could be the problem because we try to change built in coil and we tested power on a positive terminal of coil.

Check your timing belt. Distributor runs off the cam timing. If the belt is broken the Cam don't rotate. If your belt is fine, check your crank and cam timing sensors and the wiring to them .

Burning Oil

This engine may not be on time. When timing belt was replaced maybe they didn't installed correctly and now is not synchronized (is not on time) this is the main reason engines experience misfire after replacing timing belts. If you take valve cover out and notice antifreeze in there, you have a blown head gasket.

When must be replaced tla distribution belt

If you are referring to the timing belt, it should be replaced every 75-80k miles.

If you are referring to the serpentine belt, they should be inspected every oil change, look for cracks on the inside of the belt, this will indicate the belt is worn and needs replacing.

1998 GALANT W/ 130,000 MI. TIME TO CHANGE THE

Should be on your 2nd timing belt. If you have the 4cyl engine there is a balance belt that needs to be changed also. Mitsubishi recomends replacement at every 60,000 miles, your 10k over. Most of the time these motors are not interferance engines, But I have seen a few that broke a belt at high rpm that did bent valves......

How often should be changed the distribution belt of a VW Lupo 1,2ltr. TDI type 3L? How can I see if the distribution belt is changed?

Hey , the timing belt should be changed every 90.000 km. It is mandatory to change at least once all the parts that are involved in the process. You should change the water pump and the spanndampfer (i don't know the english term) and the tensioner and the little guiding role. While doing this you must refill the engine coolant that will be lost by removing and refeting the water pump. I used HEPU , that should be diluated with distilated water (1 to 1). I used 1.5 Hepu engine coolant and 1.2 liters of distilated water , even though the manufacturer says that there are 5 liters used in the engine cooland , by removing the pump you will only lose about 2.5 liters of engine coolant. You can check the timing belt by removing it and bending it , if you see crack on it you should change it. I bought a complete kit from ebay with 221.5 euros. Good luck . mihai_farcas is my id , on yahoo , if you have any other questions , please ask.

Same thing happened to ours - probably the timing belt. New coil, cap, rotor, wires, hall sensor, and computer - still no spark. Had timing belt changed and presto - car starts.
