that pertains to fuel injectors. depends on year.if it has a vortec engine it has spider wire fuel inj.sys.check fuses fuel pump pres. injector pulse.if all ok pull injectors themselves if spraying and clogged
Fuel pressure is critical for vortec motors. Most of them require a minimum of 55psi at the rail for the engine to start properly. I worked at a GM dealer and I remember it being a common problem. Change your filter on a regular basis. If the fuel pressure checks out then either the injector is bad or there is no injector pulse. Use a noid light or a high impedance test light to check for pulse.
Replace the coolant sensor on the front of the intake manifold. The coolant sensors on this engine does go bad and wont set a check engine light. The sensor will read about -32 to 0 degrees when they do go bad. The computer thinks it is that cold and sends tons of fuel to the engine. If you try to start the engine with the throttle depressed to the floor it puts the fuel system in clear flood mode and wont fire the injectors. Engine will start then and run very rich. The coolant sensor has two wires on it and sometimes you need to replace the wiring pigtail going to it as the sensor can seep coolant into the connector and corrode the terminals. All the parts are available at pepboys and autozone or napa. Good luck
I HAVE A 93 4.3 VORTEX AND THREE TIMES THIS TRUCK HAS DONE THIS IN 366,000 MILES
THE IGNITION MODULE LUBRICANT INSIDE THE CAP HAS DRIED OUT AND FRIED THE PART. NOW I KEEP A 1/4" LAYER OF THE SILICONE UNDER IT AND I BOUGHT ONE THE FIRST TIME WITH A LIFTIME GUARANTEE. JUST AS THE WIRES. CAN'T HURT TO GIVE IT A LOOK SEE THEY CAN TEST THE MODULE IN THE PARTS STORE
