2007 Land cruizer Automatic Transmission with Vin nos ;JTMHY05J984000404 was driven for so long with the Hand break enguage. My local mechanic told me that the Clutch Disc and Leather Plate has Damage. What are possible damage associated with this Problem ? Do i need Break Pads/ Linning ? Pls, kindly offer useful Tips, information and suggestion on how to go about the repair of the said Problem.
Thanks for anaticipated favour.
It's possible that you've done some damage.
Depending upon how firmly your parking brake was applied while you drove (clearly not that firmly, if you were able to drive) you could have overheated those rear brakes.
Any decent mechanic can tell you after taking a quick look. The range of what this might cost you runs from nothing, to about $150 if you need shoes, to $350 if you need your drums replaced, too.
In addition, if parking brake is properly applied car shouldnot move at all.
