Question about 2000 GMC Jimmy
I have auto lights but when I turn them to running lights the reg lights stay on no matter where I switch the switch. the automatic shifter on the floor also makes a click in the dash when I go into park. My truck is fully loaded so there is alot of computer settings and I dont know if I did something that I may be able to reset or if eletrical problems. I also did not hear the shifter making the click to park any other time in the past 2 weeks I owned it
If it is a Canadain built vehicle the law required the head lights to stay on while the ignition is turned on. I have owned 9 Jimmy and Blazers including your year of Jimmy and none of them ever amde a noise in the dash when I put the vehicle into park. The shifter only has an electrical line runnig to the light control and a cable which runs under the carpet to the transmission.
