Fan works, fuse is good, compressor does not click

When I turn on my air conditioning, the fan blows hot air. I have checked the fuse, it is good. The compressor does not click or anything. I have tested the compressor and it does not seem to be getting any electricity to it. What could be wrong or broken and where?

Could be low on freon, a faulty pressure switch, relay, or fuse.

SOURCE: air conditioning blowing hot air

ok could be one of 3 things. 1 you may be out of freon. (proly spelt that wrong) 2. compresser could be bad. 3 the clutch on your compresser might not be engaging. when trucks running turn ac on and see if the front of your compresser spins or not. if it does clutch is good. but it could be that your compresser is still bad. either way i recomend you go for freon and start there. when they fill it they will tell you for sure wether or not your compresser is bad.

SOURCE: My air conditioning blows hot air. Won't accept

Is the system low on Freon? If not, you most likely have a bad A/C compressor, or a bad low pressure switch.

SOURCE: the air conditioning compressor will not engage

Check all the fuses and the a/c relays. Depending on how long the car has sat but it is possible that if you had a small leak in the system, that all the refrig has leaked out.2005 is possibly still under warranty. I would suggest contacting Hyundai first before you do anything to see, maybe you won't have to pay for it or possibly they have had a recall on some A/C part. What do you have to lose.

SOURCE: 2002 Saturn L200 A/C compressor is not engaging.

yes their is a switch that senses the amount of gas pressure and shuts down system if their is not enough pressure, but playing with a high pressure system like this can seriously maim,so iam advising you to take it to a repair shop with a proper machine to discharge the system and then check for the faults ,but most likely cause is lack of reserve gas in the system and it just wants a re gas

Your a.c might need freon. When the compressor is low in freon it does not turn on it has a pressure switch.

Hi, The air con in my 2003 Audi A6 1.9 tdi 130 is blowing warm air the air con rad is fully gassed and all fuses are ok . Thanks in advance for any advice on how to fix

The only other thing then would be if the compressor is turning, engaging, and the cooling fan working properly. You should either be able to see the compressor clutch engage, as the switch is energized, or at least hear it click loudly when the switch is energized. If it is not, then there are sensors for the low pressure/high pressure line to tell the compressor when to function, that also have to be checked.

As the engine runs with the compressor turning, one line should be hot/warm, the othe,r (larger diameter hose) should be cool/cold, if the system is working properly.

If the compressor is turning when you have the A/C turned on, then see if the cooling fan is running as well. It must run to remove the heat and cause the process to function properly.

Good luck!
