Hey i got the same problem with the turn signals too, they say its a short in the wires, your turn signals connect through your hazrd lights, i learned that pressing the hazrd lights button on and off till they cut on and stay on will work, its only a temp. fix but can be helpful

I have a 2001 Monte Carlo LS. Sometimes the turn signal won't work. If I push the hazard light switch and turn it off, the turn signal will work. Also, the traction control comes on when it shouldn't and the ABS makes a noise. Just got the radio fixed. Sometimes it would play, sometimes not. Turns out it was the amp in the trunk compartment that was bad. Replaced the transmission at 60,000 miles. Low coolant light comes on at start up. Sometimes the blower motor won't work.

I had the same problem with mine.  All you have to do is replace the hazzard switch.  It costs about 40 bucks for the switch, and takes about ten minutes to replace.  Just take off the dash cover and swap them out.
Hope I helped!

2001 monte carlo and my signal lights and 4 way flasher is making a xxxxxxxxx noise and sometimes they will flash and then the next time they will not sometimes the light will be on the dash and then...

most common problem is the turn signal/flasher module which is the hazard light switch on the dash. it is the cheaper of the two items also. you can try wiggling the turn signal lever when it makes the noise to see if it goes away, if it does then you have a bad contact in the turn signal switch on the steering column.

Everytime I start my car (2001 Chevy Monte Carlo) it says service traction system/traction off. I can't afford to fix it and the roads will be getting bad soon, my husband knows some about cars, so I was...

You can take it to an autoparts store and they will read the codes for free. Get the codes and a description of them and we can go from there. Some times you have to replace a part, sometimes all you have to do is unplug and plug it back in. Let me know

Have several problems abs light on traction control light, low coolant light on, seat belt light on ,driver side heated seats stopped working and fuel gauge doesnt work always reads full

My 2003 Monte Carlo and my husbands 2003 chevy pickup both had the ABS and traction control lights on. When it began it only came on once in a while but got worse until the lights were on all the time. After several attempts to find the problem we purchased a ABS Brack Scan. Part #CP9449. Although it doesn't pinpoint the exact problem it does tell you what wheel has the issue and possible problems. My problem was a bad wire in the harness. Good luck!

2004 Monte Carlo "Trac off" light is on and "service traction system" warning is on and dinging. ABS light is also on. I was given code c1214 and c1226 software EBCM up-date? What is the problem?

The traction control and abs are both activated by the abs sensors located at all four wheels. It is common for those sensors to get covered in brake dust and get false or no signal. Also the wiring connections can become corroded over time. I am not sure what the codes are for but checking the sensors/wiring are where I would start.
