I heard that there was a recall on this problem. What you can do to fix it in the meantime is when the blinkers stop working press the hazard switch in and out really fast and they will start working again. Mine blinkers occasionally quit working and I do this and it solves the problem. Good luck!!

Location of signal flasher module in 2001 chevrolet monte carlo

It's behind the hazard button on the instrument panel. You have to take out the instrument panel bezel to get to it. It controls both turn signals and emergency flashers.

I have an 87 monte carlo my turnig signals dont work but my flashers do my bulbs are good brand new in fact but they stll wont work whats my problem

Do your brake lights work? Now test them while operating the turn signal switch. This is likely a bad turn signal switch. Test and let me know.

2001 monte carlo and my signal lights and 4 way flasher is making a xxxxxxxxx noise and sometimes they will flash and then the next time they will not sometimes the light will be on the dash and then...

most common problem is the turn signal/flasher module which is the hazard light switch on the dash. it is the cheaper of the two items also. you can try wiggling the turn signal lever when it makes the noise to see if it goes away, if it does then you have a bad contact in the turn signal switch on the steering column.

2004 monte carlo. Turn signals dont work. The stalk still works with other functions, such as wiper, brights. The fuse is fine. Could it be a bad relay? When u push the stalk up or down nothing happens on...

try pressing the hazards on and off if they still don,t work replace the flasher unit. it is built into the hazard switch( all one unit ) change this and all will be good.

Turn signals and traction control are not working properly.

I had the same problem with mine.  All you have to do is replace the hazzard switch.  It costs about 40 bucks for the switch, and takes about ten minutes to replace.  Just take off the dash cover and swap them out.
Hope I helped!
