You need to either clean the injectors with some type of additive, or install new injectors. Try the additive first, if it doesn't work, you might need to install new injectors, which can be costly, but the car won't run well without them.

Can all three injectors on one side go bad at the same time

Not usually. They use the same power source but are grounded at different times by the engine computer.
Its possible one bad injector could damage the others, but that rarely happens.
An injector is an electric valve with a small coil and magnet inside.

Rough idle injectors not getting electricity

If the injectors are not getting electricity, the engine would not run. If a few do not get power, it can be because of a bad crankshaft sensor, or problems in the brainbox. If your engine has camshaft sensors on each bank, they may generate the injector pulse by coordinating the fuel feed with the position of the valves.

It would be good to scan the vehicle to see if any Codes are present. I would not suspect any relays as problems because they are usually going to work or they won't at all.

ERATIC INJECTOR PULSE NO START

You describe an electrical issue. First of all, how do you know the injector pulse is 'erratic'?
Is the ignition spark ALSO erratic? If so, how so? I need specifics, details regarding your description of 'erratic'. I can assume/presume you have experience/education/training in automotive diagnostics... ??

In my electrical/eagelectronics experience, you definitely have an electrical/electrodynamic problem/issue.

Tell me what you've done, diagnostically, to determine (isolate) the 'CAUSE' of this erratic injector pulse. What have you inspected/checked? What have you NOT inspected/checked?

Get back to me, then we can go from there.

However, first thoughts
The engine management computer (ECM/ECU/PCM) can cause/create the symptom you describe
The engine wiring harness also (chafed wires, bad ground circuits, etc.)
Malfunctioning senors (Crank Position Sensor (CKP), Cam Position Sensor (CPS),
Low Voltage Condition, etc.

Why does the fuel injector receive no pulse for 1998 ford explorer 4.0 motor

The 6 cyclinder motor has 6 fuel injectors. If your not getting pulse Electrical grond to an injector wire theirs a likly chance your not getting it at another. If your getting no pulse at all the engine won't run. Does the check engine light on with the engine running? What meadod did you determine that it had no pulse? Remove one injector wire one at a time with the engine running? If it's not running at all then the no pulse can be a common system part like the crank senser. Does the engine get spark? Most of the time pulse and spark are hand in hand so if the crank senser were bad it's not going to have s[ark either.

Running on 4 cylenders instead of 8. already replaced brain ,checked injecters for pulse and not all pulse

We check injectors with a needle stethoscope to locate the bad one. After we use injectors check lamp, (it is not costly and you can buy on line). If the light pulse, we replace the injector. If not then is an electrical problem. If you will replace the injectors please, buy original one from Cadillac Dealer, they are expensive. I bought aftermarket for north star engine, they were bad, and I bought again the original one. No more problems with injectors. Mine is a Cadillac Seville SLS. Hope will help.

I have an 1989 F250 7.3L. I am getting white smoke and it seems to have a bad miss. How do I check the injectors to see if they are bad. Some suggested I start the engine and remove one injector at a...

Sounds like a blown head gasket. I wouldn't remove the injectors while it's running, you could try unplugging the electrical connector from each one while it is running, when you unplug the bad one, you won't notice the engine rpm drop.

How do i tell my injectors are bad?

They don't all go out at the same moment, they generally go bad slowly & you can determine which one is bad by testing without any special test equipment by carefully removing each ones electrical connector as you leave the others connected while the engine is running. You will need to prepare by inspecting the clip on the connector to prepare it for easy removal whle the engine is not running & be sure you have adequate clearance. If you remove one with the engine running and notice no difference in performance, you've found your bad injector or spark plug. It should be noted that you should also check the plug in any suspected cylinder. Standard fuel injector cleaner used frequently on a system can help performance. good luck

Engine will Turnover but it will not fire up

To check injector pulse, you need 2 people. One is to crank the engine. The other is to watch the voltmeter connecting to the plug delivering the electrical signal to an injector. If during a period of cranking, there is no voltage displayed that means there is no injector pulse. Here is an image of connector port going into the injector to open its valve as needed.d63fc52.jpg
