Question about 1994 Plymouth Acclaim
Check engine light comes on; mileage/gallon drops dramatically from 24-25 mpg to 15-17 mpg;
Spring 07: 02 sensor replaced; code 51
Summer 07: 02 sensor replaced; code 51
Spring 08: O2 sensor replaced; code 51
Fall 08: O2 sensor replaced; code 51 -- dealer decided it was either the MAP or fuel injectors needed replacing -- debate from many as to how many injectors there actually are
I am not sure what else u are asking other then the number of fuel injectors, there are six, one in each cylinder of the engine. As far as the code 51 if it keeps coming back the issue is not the O2 sensor, it would be either a engine vacuum leak, fuel injector problems or a defective MAF (mass airflow sensor)
