replace the ignition mechanism please try to disassemble the steering column cover, turn the key to acc position, please try find the small hole upper portion of the ignition barrel then insert a small stick metal in the hole then pull it out the key, goes with the key mechanism then replace it or bring it to the "key duplicator shop"

My 01 chevy malibu theft deterrent light is on and my car wont start or let me get my key out of the ignition what can i do?

turn the key to the "acc" position. you will notice the theft light flashing. leave the key in this position for exactly 10 minutes. the light should stop flashing. turn the key back to the off position and then start the car as you normally would. Works every time!

2005 toyota corolla ce maint. required need to know how to reset.

To reset the system. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position with the odometer reading shown. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position while holding down the trip meter reset knob. Hold down the knob for at least 5 seconds. The odometer indicates "000000" and the light goes off. If the system fails to reset, the light will continue flashing.

Key lock cylinder won't come out....

cars have a lock position to protect the car from being stolen by theives. When we park the car with the wheels turned to the sides it gets locked in that position and the key can sometimes nbe hard to take out. Try moving the steering wheel in both directions as much as possible while pushing in the key and trying to jiggle it to turn. If you can get it out, the next time , park your car with the wheels facing forward. I hope this works.
