Most likely it is the sensor in the rear differential it is a common problem for them to go bad.

I know this is not the same vehicle but it might be the same problem, its a cheap fix so it could be worth it if it translates to your vehicle.

Either look on the inside of the driver side front fender and tighten the ground, if that doens't work un-hook your batteri for a few minutes

Abs light stays on

Usually means you need to have it serviced asap. This usually signifies the ABS sensor is bad or some other serious problem. While this light is on, your anti-lock brake system will not work, so it can cause serious problems if you need to stop in a hurry.

The abs sensors also control the traction control and 4 wheel drive actuators so if one of the sensors is faulty the traction control will be disabled and the drive system will be stuck in the mode set at time of failure be that 4x4 or 2wd
get the abs system repaired
