I have a 1996 nissan sentra gxe.... I just replaced the radiator today and the car still over heated, my only thought as to what the problem could be was the water pump. how do I change the water pump?

Have you checked or changed the thermostat?
That is a more common failure than the pump and I hope you didn't replace the radiator without checking the thermostat first.

You can generally trace hoses to locate the water pump and then see how to access it.

Sounds like you have a thermostat problem also did you bleed the cooling system of all the air before you put the radiator cap on?
if you have not bleed the system and there is a air lock you will have over heating problems.
the way you can try bleeding the car is let it get up to temp with the rad cap off and let the fans cycle twice and wate till all the air bubbles stop stop coming out.
if the air dosn't stop coming out for a long long time you may have a blown head gasket

Starter makes grinding noise when starting car. Sometimes it does no engage to start the car. Have replaced the started twice in the last year on my 1996 Nissan Sentra GXE Auto Trans.

check the condition of the teeth on the ring gear of the engine. They can become burred and cause improper engagement of the starter pinion. Check the adjustment of the pinion action.

Do you have access to a cooling system pressure tester? If not you should be able to borrow one from a parts store like autozone or oreilly

do you have the right light bulb? i own a 98 sentre and
it takes a 9004 bulb, but walmarts computer said to use 9007. That made the high beam censor stay on till i replaced it. if you look at the bulb you can tell if it is a dual or single beam bulb.!!!!

does the car overheat at idle or travelling down the road? if the thermostat was not changed, thats first step. checking it is replacing it. possibly air-bound. then i would suspect a headgasket problem.
