Question about 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan AWD
I have a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport. Recently purchased a "Whistler 400-watt Power Inverter with Circuit Pro" to be able to use parents choice baby bottle warmer, which requires 120V and 400W input (considering the car bottle warmers in the market are not good enough).
Based on my research I understand that the 12V outlet in the cabin will support only 150W max. So the recommendation is the connect the inverter directly to the car battery. How do I get the the cables from the battery to the passenger area? I opened the bonnet, and did not find any openings from the engine area to the dash. Please advise.
Check the fuse box, there should be some positive prongs you can wire up to. Although, what the W's are for this, I do not know. If that dosn't work, there is a rubber boot around the steering shaft, you can slice it open and run the wire through there to your battery or fuse box under the hood. The one under the hood should have at least one metal stud on it where you can add accersies and it bypasses your ignition system.. Just remember, with it connected straight to your battery, if you forget to shut off your inverter, it will drain your battery.
