It sure could be a fuse. Check them out first and see if any of them are blown. I would use a tester or even better a multimeter if it is handy. If not a 99 cent tester can be purshased and used.

In my 1997 bmw323i the ac control pannel doesnt light up and hot air comes out of the vents. I checked all the fuses for the ac and heater and theyre all good...

I had the same issue on my 98 323i. LCD went dark and none of the controls worked. FIX: There's a .47uF capacitor on the circuit board that needs replacing. You have to remove the control panel (first remove the stereo then the control panel is easy) Take the unit apart and solder in a new capacitor on the mainboard. Google it and you'll find instructions and photos. The fix worked for me. Hardest part was de-soldering the old square capacitor. Spent 50cents at radio shack for the new part. Looked different but same value. One year later, and it still works fine.

Ac control pannel doesnt work and hot air only come out vents

You might want to check and see if you can find any inline fuses going directly to the control panel. I had the same problem on a different car. Just in case.....there should be fuses under dash and under hood. Maybe a relay is even out.

Hot air on passenger side and cold air on driver side on 2004 BMW 325i. Why?

if you have the separate climate controls the unit might have shorted out and caused the heater coil to be constantly engaged

Hi. I have 2001 BMW 325 xi. my car is quattro. How

Do you have an owners manual for this BMW? It may help to explain this if you read about the quattro system there. How ever this system probably transfers power to the wheels that have the best traction. The DSC button stands for Dynamic Stability Control and may interact with your quattro system. I would not recommend turning this off in a hard corner on Ice, unless of course you enjoy spinning out of control into a tree. Again find and read your owners manual the germans are very precise people and explain all the features of your car in great detail.

Yellow DSC and Brake light on... recently changed brake pads

Abs and dsc are related and with the light on these won't work. It is possible that you need to go back to where the work was done to look this over.

Changed 3 fuses now car wont start

you need to check battery supply most important. if the battery low voltage, cause no start. if the battery ok & strong energy. maybe the drive away protection control if this is the problem you need to bring to BMW dealer to replace control & ENCODE the control unit using SSS.
