Question about 2003 GMC Envoy

Open Question

Right Passenger Door Cluster - No Power

I have a 2002 GMC Envoy SLT that the cluster of buttons on the passenger door do not work. This includes the Power Window, Door Locks, and the Heated Seat controls. I have replaced the fuse under the left rear passenger seat for this cluster. Any further ideas of what I can do besides take this in to a GM Dealership? It would seem that one power source would be handling this cluster as they are all out out once. I can switch the fuses from the right to the left and the left side always works.

I also have the same problem. I just went to my GMC dealership and they replaced a fuse for my electrical but now the passenger locks won't work. Haven't checked the windows or hearted seats yet... Any ideas?

Same problem with front passenger door. Dealer said it was the "door module" ~ $450 to replace. If I could identify the part, was going to look for one at a salvage yard. Have not been able to id the part, so no luck on finding a fix.

I have the same problem with my 2004 HD Sierra. I found that the "MBEC" 50 amp fuse in the under hood fuse box had blown. Replaced that and it works now. This has happened twice in 2 years.

SOURCE: Power Door Lock Problem

The last post by maddog1321 was exactly what I had with my right rear door. The electric locks would not lock and unlock, and you almost couldn't do it manually without my feeling I was about to break something. I took the door panel off, oiled everything and got no relief. Finally, I saw the above post and drilled out the aft-most pop-rivet. THE WINDOW WORKED PERFECTLY! I didn't drill out the forward (closest to the handle) pop-rivet because I wanted to do one at a time so the solenoid would not fall out of place. I then put a new pop-rivet in place of the one I drilled out. I then reinstalled everything and the locks work like new.

Check for broken/cracked wiring in drivers door where wiring exits the door and enters the vehicle. Usually contained in rubber sleeve that may need to be opened for inspection. The wiring flexes constantly with the opening/closing of the door and can break

How can i fix my odometer on my 2002 envoy

The IPC calculates the mileage based on the vehicle speed signal circuit from the engine control module (ECM). The odometer will display 'error' if an internal IPC memory failure is detected. The odometer displays either miles or kilometers as requested by the activation of the Personalization button on the steering wheel controls. IPC - instrument panel cluster .
Schematic Reference: Instrument Cluster Schematics

Did you perform the Instrument Cluster Diagnostic System Check?
Go to Step 2
Go to Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster

Turn the ignition ON.

Activate the trip reset button.

Does the odometer display switch between trip and odometer?
Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems
Go to Step 3

Important: Program the replacement instrument panel cluster (IPC).
Replace the IPC. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
Did you complete the replacement?
Go to Step 4

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
System OK
Go to Step 2
Install a scan tool.
Does the scan tool power up?

Gmc Envoy 2006 Mirrors Not Working

There are two fuses and two circuit breakers: 25A LT DOORS CB 2 and DRIVER DOOR MODULE (DDM) fuse 10 supply power to the DDM. 10A PASSENGER DOOR MODULE fuse 12 and 25A RT DOORS CB 1 supply power to the front passenger door module. If these check OK, the module(s) may be defective or the motors may have failed.

I just installed a radio on my 02 envoy slt and now the backlighting on my insturment cluster and a/c don't light. All other dimmable lights work ie window button lights information screen and a/c...

Might be using the current for the cluster lights to power the radio, or a problem with the ground connection.
Check the wires you connected the radio to.
Try unplugging the radio to see if the lights work again.

2009 GMC Envoy - power door locks, power windows, fuel gauge not working, dome light isn't working

Do you know anything about automotive electronic's ? computer controlled systems ? There is electronic control modules in side the doors of your vehicle that control the operation of the windows an lock's , plus the instrument cluster is a module too . Your vehicle has about 10 different control modules and thet are all hooked on a serial data communication network ,to share info. The fuel tank sending unit in the gas tank is wired to the PCM - engine computer , The PCM sends fuel level info to the gauge in the instrument cluster on this serial data network . Your best bet ,take an have the vehicle checked out by a qualified repair shop .
The power door lock system consists of the following components:
• Driver Door Module (DDM)
• Passenger Door Module (PDM)
• Liftgate Module (LGM)
• Door lock relay
• Door unlock relay
• Body Control Module (BCM)
• Reversible door lock actuators in each of the doors
• LR/RR LOCKS 10A fuse (relay supply voltage)
• Door lock switches in driver and passenger doors (switches are integral components to the DDM and PDM)

Power Door Lock Operation
The power door lock switches are integral components of the DDM and PDM. The switches are two position normally open rocker switches. When placed in either the lock or unlock positions, the switches provide a direct input to the DDM or PDM. The DDM or PDM monitors these inputs and sends a Class 2 message indicating a change in the switch's respective position. Modules which activate the power door lock motors receive the Class 2 message and activate the motor in the appropriate direction to lock or unlock the vehicle's doors and liftgate. The modules which activate the power lock motors are:
• DDM (driver door lock actuator).
• PDM (passenger front door lock actuator).
• BCM (both rear door lock actuators).
• LGM (liftgate door lock actuator).
The DDM, PDM and LGM are directly connected to the respective door lock actuator through the door lock motor lock and unlock circuits. Once a door lock or unlock request has been received, the module will supply battery voltage to one side of the actuator and ground the other causing the doors to lock or unlock.

The modules probably have DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored , these would point a auto tech in a positive diagnostic direction .

2002 envoy passenger window, lock, and heated seat dont work

Check fuse #12 and circuit breaker (CB) #1 in the rear fuse panel. If those are good, problem is most likely with the Passenger Door Module (PDM).

AutoLights same as headlight

Bought a used 02 GMC Envoy in August. Passenger

The pass. side door switch seems to have a loose connection on the multi harness connector to the window/lock/seat controls. Or this vehicle is equipt with a door module that does not fail all at once. They will work intermittantly as does yours until they just fail to work. This module HAS to be installed by an authorized dealer so that they may code it to your security settings.
