Chrysler 300 m 2001. Front end grinding. Appears to be drivers side. When jacked up, drivers side will stop, while passenger side continues to move. When drivers side catches, very loud grinding noise like something is catching in teeth. This shakes the entire tranny, tools for a couple seconds, then does it again. Any advice?

You either have a wheel bearing problem on the left wheel and or a differential problem in the transmission.

SOURCE: 1998 NISSAN ALTIMA FRONT END NOISE / RT SIDE GRINDING NOISE,.... BEARING?

CV joint has gotten debris and moisture inside. The CV boot is bad and not protecting the joint. Now its metal on metal grinding. This happens when turning as there is more pressure on the joint. Please fix this ASAP as it can be dangerous to drive on a bad CV joint. While I have seen people drive with a bad CV joint for over 4k miles, it is NOT recommended!

SOURCE: Grinding noise front end.

I say it's the CV joints. You have to jack up under the lower A-Arm, to take the spring pressure off of it, to check them.

(Use jack stands, and wheel chocks behind the rear tires. Emergency brake On. Work on a hard level surface. Be SAFE! Trucks can be replaced, YOU cannot!)

How do I bleed the brakes on a 2009 Pontiac G6?

when replacing the brakes you usually dont bleed the system ---usually bleed system when air gets in from like changing a line master cylinder or caliper-- and or master is empty .but to bleed you start at passenger rear first than drivers side rear,up to passenger side front ending at drivers side front

Why noise in car when pressing on gas pedal grinding

It's the car pulling to that side? Sticking brake pad possible. When did you have brakes done last off at all? Front brakes go out twice as fast as rear brakes. If you can Charlie jack up that side put car in park, set emergency brake and chock rear tires. Pull off that tire and see if rotor is grooved or scored badly. It may have been sticking and wore down faster. Also check CV BOOT. If torn u joints get dirty and will grind. Hope this was some help.

Front passenger side makes loud banging and grinding noise... happened after we took it out of 4x4. now i can only drive in 2high. when i put it in 4x4 thats when it bangsloudly and grinds... what do you...

It could be almost anything, but it sounds like you may have lost a front cv joint. Jack the front of the car up and put jack stands under it, and reach in and try wiggling the shaft that comes out of the transmission, one on each side, and goes to the center of each front wheel hub. If you can move one at all other than turning it, it will need to be replaced.

Feels like my front drivers side tire is lose but I check all the lugg nuts and they are tight. I can drive straight and I get a loud sqweal(as if I'm taking a corner to sharp) from the passenger side...

sounds like you have either tie/thrust rod ends going bad, or ball joints. Your wheel bearings could be going bad as well. Any of these can cause this problem. To check the tie/thrust rod ends, turn the vehicle off, and have a friend turn the wheel back and forth while you look at the steering linkages. If you see anything moving more than the part that it's attached to, you have found something that needs replacing right away. For Ball joints, put a jack on the a-arm right beside the wheel. Jack it up, and watch the tire as it starts to come off the ground. If it slides out when it just gets off the ground, you have bad ball joints on that side. Wheel/hub bearings can be trickier, unless they're REALLY worn. Jack the car up so that it's clear of the ground, and see if you can make the wheel wobble by moving it with your hands. You may also notice a grinding or whining sound coming from the affected side. You'll especially notice it if you drive with your window down, as you're passing a building or other hard object, as the sound reflects back at you. Hope this helped you find your problem.

2002 Ford Escape 2WD. No drive on passenger wheel.

the reason you could do that was because it does not have positraction in the differential and it is designed that way for when you take turns so each axle can spin at a different speed. and the ginding noise with the brakes can be misinstalled hardware or a warped rotor.

When i hit a bump in the road with my chrysler pacifica it sounds like the passenger side wheel is goin to fall off.

Check the lug nuts..
Could be a bad front end bushing or could be a bad ball joint.
Check for re-calls too..
Jack up the front end (be safe) leaving the pssngr tire hanging free.. Move tire left to right.. You should find out what is going on..

I accelerate my 2000 neon, and it vibrates and get grinding noise

Check the front drive axles and boots. A bad cv (constant velocity) joint can cause this.
