    dgjtex,

Do you have any idea how complicated or expensive repairing the actuator is? Thanks for your time and your response.

So my girlfriend has a similar problem. The heat wants to stop working from time to time. We unplug the control unit and plug it back in and it works for another week or two. Just the driver side heat stops though. So I switched actuators from the driver side to the passenger side thinking that one was bad but still the same problem. I have the exact same car and no problems so I put my control unit in hers and hers in mine. I never had a problem with her unit in mine and she still has the problem every once and a while. So I know its not the control unit either. If anybody has an idea what it could be, please let me know so I don't have to bring it in. Thanks

Does this vehicle have dual air control?
If so it will be the actuator dor for heat or cool on the drivers side stuck in cold position. I would be glad to help you further if you need more info

Sir, sorry I haven't gotten back sooner, The part is not real expensive but with seeing any where from 50 to 125 on most vehicles, It may be pretty simple to replace but of course it depends on where it is located

98 intrigue keyless entry

Here's what i found.

1. Close all doors.

2. Insert key into the ignition cylinder but do not turn it.

3. Press and hold the Unlock button on door lock switch on drivers door.
Hold until instructed to release in step 6.

4. Remove key from ignition and then insert key into ignition without turning ignition cylinder and remove key.

5. Insert key in ignition a third time and leave key in ignition. Do Not turn ignition.

6. Release door lock switch on drivers door panel.
A Chime will sound 3 times indicating that you are in programming mode.

7. Press both the Lock and Unlock buttons on the remote up to 30 seconds.
A chime will sound 2 times if remote has programmed successful.

8. Repeat step 7 if you are programming additional remotes.

9. Remove key from ignition to exit programming mode.

NOTE: If you are having trouble getting this procedure to work, we have found that some vehicles need step 3 to be done before step 2.

Did you make sure to pull the key out after the procedure? This closes the "programming mode".

My best solution, which you may not want to hear is new wiper motors. It seems like a common thing in these cars (the wipes don't go down all the way.

1998 olds intrigue drivers side signal light keeps burning

It happened to my 98 Intrigue. It stopped as soon as I changed the sockets. It is very simple to do this, just pull it out the the plug from the connector about 4 inches from the socket. I got used ones at the junk yard, 2 bucks a piece. Been working fine for almost 2 years.

HVAC intermittent problem with 2002 Olds Intrigue

I assume you are talking about whether or not the blower fan is running. I had a similar problem. The likely cause is the resistors that control the motor speed. I took off the resistor pack and because it didn't look like any of the electronics were damaged I replaced the blower motor and that fixed it. One or the other, or both should do it.
Check fuses first.

1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue-no heater or a/c fan blowing

either your blower motor is bad or your switch is. You can run a jumper to the motor and see if it kicks in. If that works then run a jumber from your switch to your motor and see if that works. Both are easily replaced, and don't take long.
