Re: Ford Taurus 1996-wind screen water squirter not...
You will need a test light/probe to check wether you have power to the windscreen washer bottle motor. If you have power at the motor and it doesnt pump you will need to replace it.Because the wipers are still working its unlikely to be a power supply issue. Can you hear the motor trying to pump when you activate it?If you can hear motor humming then you may have blocked nozzles.Usualy a small sewing needle poked down the squirter nozzles will clear them. Also make sure your water squirter hoses are not blocked and havnt fallen off.

Your washer pump is bad or bad connection. Check for voltage to pump first, if you have voltage, replace pump. Your squirter nozzles could be plugged with wax or polish, use a sewing needle to unplug if necessary.
Remove cover from rear wiper arm (it is covering the wiper arm nut) gently ease off the plastic moulding in the middle of the nut try squirters if water is coming out unblock the water jet holes in the plastic moulding
squirters ---- belly laugh from this end ,look under the plastic grill passenger side ,it lifts up and the squirter reserve is under it ...... as for power steering some do and some dont depends on the build spec of the vehicle as it comes down the assembly line .
you could have a blown fuse pull the cover off the fuse box, that is located under the dash board on the driver side. inside the cover there is a diagram of which fuse is which. find the one for your wipers and check it, pull it out and inspect it visually its usually pretty obvious if its bad it will look burned out if the fuse looks intact, there may be another fuse in this circuit. if it's blown replace it and check if that worked if not, check the power to the wiper motor and washer fluid pump both have power then it could be a bad wiper control switch on the handle attached to the steering wheel.i hope this helps.
With a test light, make sure if the pump is getting power. If so, the squirter pump is bad, if not, you would have to trace the wires looking for breaks. There is no seperate fuse for the squirter, so if the wipers work, most likely its a pump or wire problem. Don't know if you have a test light, if not you need one to test it.
I would first test your washer pump ( squirter) by a 12 volt source such as battery take 2 wires one for negative and one for positive leads from your battery or other source of 12 volts to the leads on your pump if pump is bad it will not run, you can bypass the switch in the same manner only remove the switch connectors from switch and apply the power to your car connection.
