This morning it was about 4 below zero I went to start my 03 Saturn Vue with A 4 cylinder in it and it had a hrad time starting. when it finally did start it ran very rough like it was down a cylinder. I then went to the parts store and got plugs for it. It still continues to run very rough. anyone have any ideas.

Soo many mechanical possibilities if you started a frozen motor..do you plug vehicle in with a water heater at night to keep it from freezing where you live?...you'll need to have a compression test to determine if a ring or valve train component didnt break from starting it when frozen..

If it's like every other 2.2 front wheel drive Saturn, it should be at the bottom front of the engine, away from the serpentine belt side.
Look under the car, right side. It should be fairly obvious .
Please disconnect the battery before attempting any removal.
Is this the 4 cylinder or the 6 cylinder model? The 4 cylinder has a notoriously troublesome Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). These mischievous little skamps like to cause mischief at just the wrong times, such as when you are on your way to work on Monday morning, or when you are in the path of a train.
Since you have no engagement into forward or reverse the drive belt has likely failed you. Replace the case half and filter, and all of your dreams will be realized.... probably..
Engine needs to crank over strong and steady to have a chance of starting. Youi said it has a poor crank. Battery may be low or bad. If you get the engine to crank over corrrectly and it srill does not start check fuel pressure, spark and injector pulse.
first of all, check the fuel pump relay to see if it is going bad. if it is ok! also try this, Have a person turn key to on,, and put your hand on bottom of fuel tank. if the pump is turning on, you will feel a vibration in tank. you may have to do this a few times. the pump only turns on for a few seconds to pressurize system, or to get fuel to the engine. just keep turning key on and off to recycle fuel pump. you may be hydro locked. pull your air filter and see if it's full of water. then pull your spark plugs and turn the engine over. see if you blow any water out of the cylinders. if you didn't damage it, you should be able to get it started with a new filter and spark plugs.
The P0304 indicates the #4 cylinder is misfiring. The flashing light means the cylinder is not firing at all...It could be several things causeing it, coil, wires, plug, injector or vacuum leak. Do not drive your vehicle until you have this repaired, as it will lead to further more costly problems. Good luck, i hope this helps.
