could be blown headlight on low beam filaments in globe.
other possible causes - headlight relay
check if there is voltage at the relay coil being switched thru. if not the headlight switch could be faulty. get a piece of insulated wire - strip the ends and bypass the relay by passing the +ve voltage wire to the headlight side. this replicates the relay function. thus testing if switch is faulty in providing power to relay coil.
No relay that I know of. On 1970s models the headlight switch had a circuit beaker built into the switch for the headlight circuit. If you have power to the headlight switch and nothing coming out of the terminal for the headlights the circuit breaker may have died. You would need to replace the switch.
does your lights come on manually if you turn your dashlights up all the way your interior lights should come on. if they do then it might be a problem with the switch inside the door. also have you checked the bulb? there should be one on each side under the dash also.
There are fuses for each headlight under the hood, against the passenger's side fender, in a relay box that includes the clutch relay and main relay. Make sure these are not blown and getting constant power (they are 'upstream' of the switch, so they should always be 'hot'). Then, check for power to the switch, and finally power to the lights.
There was a relay between the headlight selector switch and the dip/high beam stepper relay which was not on the circuit diagram.
Its a bit difficult to access and is right under the dash on the far left above the fuse panel (British right hand drive type).
The multi spade connector (5 terminals) had been intermittent and overheating for some time. I cut off the connector and soldered all connections to the relay.

I am not much of a mechanic any more ,but I do have some experince with electronics and for any circuit to operate battery has to flow to ground.Direct battery to ground will blow a fuse or melt your wiring if the fuse does not blow.If your parking lights stay on all the time then there is a complete path from battery to grd through the lights,and it sounds as though what ever is causing the problem on the parking lights is killing the path to your lamps relay.A wiring diagram may be available on the internt or library.Good luck.
