My battery is dead,cant get into truck

If battery is totally dead and you cant get in with the key. I would call out a lock out service and un lock the door. Then pop the hood and replace battery. Cause no alarm system would work with a battery that dead I would imagine.

Battery. New doesn't always mean good. Could have set on shelf. Have AutoZone or advance check it.

can you fold down the back of the seat and pull the release handle? you could jack it up and power it up at the starter

Either the battery is just old and cant hold a charge well, or you have something sucking power while the car is off. Sometimes batteries just start to do this with age. If you noticed that it takes 3 days of NOT DRIVING to drain battery, try unhooking it (battery) for 3 days, rehook it and see if its dead or good. If its still dead, id say the battery is shot. If its good, id say you have something drawing power from it in the car. Normally its some thing thats an "add on"...... car stero, tv, trailer hitch, cd player, ect ect

yes replace battery the computer cant work on a dead battery ..

when these particular vehicles loose all power, you have restore the battery power before the solenoid will release the key. have your charging system checked once a good battery has been put back in.

power is needed to move shifter. sometimes the shifter will move if key is off? maybe? some cars have a slot or a way to move shifter if lock doesnt work. Owners manual handy?
