This may be the dreaded antitheft security system. Look for a picture on the dash when this happens that says SECURITY or a picture of a car with a lock through it. This a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other.
The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, or not seen at all. When the communication breaks, the car misinterprets this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. (like it thinks it's being hot wired) The car shuts down because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. It will either turn off the starter, or the fuel injectors. The vehicle may run for 2-3 seconds before shutting down. This link explains it pretty well.

Does your key have a chip on it ? if it does , the problem is going to be that ,key chip only works with the original computer , until you have it reprogrammed by the dealer . this is an anti theft function to keep someone from stealing your car . there fore your car will not start until the chip matches the ecm.

Need a picture of firing order on a 1991 Buick Park Avenue

Check this site I believe the black images is the coil pack firing order. I used a coil pack from a different model but had to open it up and change the firing order since the spark wires wouldn't reach for my 91 buick. You should have some knowledge about wiring before attempting that. Basically I just switched the wiring on each side inside the coil pack.https://www.google.com/search?q=buick+1991+park+avenue+firing+order&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=reisU9eSH9HioAThh4D4BQ&ved=0CC8QsAQ&biw=1440&bih=748

Symptoms camshaft sensors

your 98 buick is equipped with an obd2 diagnostic system, a faulty cam sensor will throw a trouble code causing a check engine or service engine soon light. however cylinder misfire or poor signal to coil pack/packs would be a symptom if for some reason the obd2 or ecm was faulty and not throwing a code

I have a 1992 Buick Park Avenue that runs rough (misses) till it warms up and then just occasionally. Changed fuel filter, but mechanic seems to think it is wires on the ECM Coil Pack causing problems. ...

If you are referring to the this wiring or hi-tension wires, you will have to replace them. After market parts sell them in pack. If you are referring to insulation on the coil pack itself you will have to replace the assembly. For the ordinary wiring you may replace each of the wire or make some splicing and replace portions of the wire. You will need to solder it and insulate the solders with electrical tape.

My 95 buick park avenue runs good when driving 55 but when going up a slight incline or giving a little more gas it starts to run jerky or missfire until you give it enough gas for the trans to downshift...

Could be in need of a tune up or you could have a bad coil pack. Start it up at night with the hood open and see if you see anything arching from the coil packs or any plug wires. Also could be a fuel pressure problem but slightly more unlikely you can use or put a deposit down and take home and use a fuel pressure gauge at Autozone or O'Reilly's, and they can look up the psi of fuel pressure you should have.
