You need the timing cranks remarked and fitted and then realine pistons

2000 diesel beetle lost power still runs soso but acts like turbo not working i hear a loud hissing noise and ticking when punching. whats limp mode


Check and replace air filter and fuel filter with a additive,I sugest LUCAS FUEL ADDITIVE AND HEET IN THE RED BOTTLE.

vw uses coil on plugs so each plug has a coil under engine cover on top of valve cover check fuses first for your other problem

Idling is rough after long distance drive


Try draining the fuel filter and replacing first if it does not clear up then I need some more information from you do the cheep fix first. also use a diesel injector cleaner to clean the nozzles and valves as carbon build up will cause timingto be off.
