WHERE IS THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR LOCATED ON A 2006 EDDIE BAUER EXPEDITOIN? mY A/C AND HEAT WILL ONLY BLOW ON THE HIGH SETTING. IT HAS CLIMATE CONTROL AND DUAL CONTROL FOR THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER...

I found this wiring schematic at: http://www.f150online.com/forums/articles-how-tos/385953-replace-04-08-fan-blower-motor-resistor-emtc-hvac-3.html
It looks like it is located under the dash on the passenger side, and appears to be pretty close to the blower motor. The resistor or controller is different if you have a climate control system vs. a manual temperature control.
Here is a possible picture of the climate control module:

04 Chevy Silverado. Dual climate control is blowing cold on driver's side and hot on passenger.

with truck off, move passenger to full hot and driver's to full cold. turn key on and run air for 15 seconds.

turn key off

move climate controls to opposite positions and turn key on again with air on. Run for 15 seconds. turn key off.

center temp controls and turn key on again. this should fix you.

2004 chevy tahoe, dual climate control, blowing different temps

Its more then likely the temp door broken or temp door motor broken/stuck. There is 2-3 of these motors under the dash on the side of the evap/heater core box. Some require extensive labor to replace, good luck

the problem is a part called the air temperature control blend door acuator motor, it is deep inside the dash and the dash must be removed to replace it.

Heating system

This is obviously a heater system control problem, I beleive this system is vaccuum controled with vacuum acuators that open and close doors in response to the climate control system comands.

Listen for the sound of escaping air from under the dash board, esp on the drivers side. Look for any unattached hoses under the dash. From there if you do not see anything obvious, you will have to obtain a schematic of the HVAC system, understand it's opearation and then start testing the vacuum control devices. maybe more than you want to do.

Goos Luck

Climate zone problems

Hello, This is because your actuator door in the dash board is broken. its about $1000 to fix. Its a bad design flaw that Jeep used in their dual climate control. Many many many jeep owners have had this problem.
