Bank 1 would be the side of the engine that is normally the driver's side if the vehicle is a rear wheel drive. So find the belt end of your engine and bank 1 is on your right. Sensor 1 is before the cat and sensor 2 is after the cat.

SOURCE: transmission input speed sensor location

It is located on the front of the transmission. you will see 2 of them one on the left under small transmission lines it is the input then to the right behind the radiator overflow there is the other one. Easiest way to change them is with a 1" deep well socket

SOURCE: code p0406 dodge grand caravan 3.8 engine. Is it

P406 is a EGR code, EGR will also cause a knocking/ pinging sound when there bad. Very common problem. The position sensor inside the valve goes bad. Your going to have to replace the whole EGR valve and it can put out variety of codes from P0401 to P0406. The new valve will solve the problem and easy to replace, you can pick one up at Auto Zone and they can give you the step by step instructions to replacing the EGR with common tools. Good luck and hope this helps.

SOURCE: 96 Dodge Neon O2 sensor

That would correct the problem, the O2 sensor is on the exhaust manifold or on the exhaust manifold down pipe. If you go to Auto Zone, they will have the O2 sensor you need and also the loaner tool you may need to remove the O2 sensor. Auto Zone also can give you the step by step instructions to replacing the O2 sensor in about 30 min. Once you located the O2 sensor, disconnect the wire harness and use the O2 sensor socket to remove the sensor from the exhaust. It's like removing a spark plug, to install the new O2 sensor is just to follow the same procedure in revers to the removal. Good luck.

SOURCE: location of oxygen sensors on 2002 dodge grand

The o2 sensors are located on the exhaust system. The upstream in on the rear exhaust manifold and the down stream is in front of the catalytic converter.Usually when they are bad they will make the check engine like go on.Make sure the air filter is clean, tires at correct inflation, alignment is to specs. If the vehicles pulls to one side or the other or steering wheel is not straight when driving down a straight stretch of road. Also tires are wearing normal.Use cruise control where ever on highway. If you let your vehicle warm up in winter. This also uses gas.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Where is bank 2 o2 sensor at on a 1996 dodge intrepid 3.5 liter?

Bank 2 o2 sensor should be right side of engine and follow exhaust you should see one before cat and one behind cat you might have to go under car to see second one. If your car is a v6 it'll have 4 o2 sensors

I have a dodge grand caravan wit the code p0135. internal controlmodule memorie check sum error no clue as to what it means please help

Code 135 should be a problem with the heater circuit for O2 sensor bank one sensor one. The O2 sensors have a heater to make them work as soon as the engine is started. The problem could be the sensor or the heater circuit.

Where is the front o2 sensor on 2005 dodge grand caravan 3.8

The code is for bank one sensor one which is the sensor in the exhaust pipe before the catalytic converter on the side with cylinder one.
Keep in mind the problem could be the heater in the sensor, or a wiring problem.

After fill ups, engine light indicates deffective 02 sensor bank1. On a '04, Dodge Grand Caravan, 3.8.

You must have duel exhast then. Bank 1 is the drivers side and you have a upper and lower o2 sensor. More than likely it is the upper o2 sensor that is the problem.

2002 dodge caravan engine light on code showing p0135 .please advice.thanks.

  • O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction - Bank 1 - Sensor 1
  • Basically the ECM Electronic Control Unit has determined your O2 sensor is taking to long to begin reacting properly.
  • The causes could be
  1. O2 heater element resistance could be to high.
  2. An internal short or opening in the heater element.
  3. O2 heater circuit wiring with high resistance.
  4. Open or short to ground in the wiring harness.

  • The fixes are
  1. Check the harness and connector to the O2 sensor for shorts or ground.
  2. Replace that O2 sensor.

  • Bank 1 sensor 1 location for this vehicle is located on the exhaust manifold back by the firewall on top of the manifold..
  • Thank you for using FixYa

2005 dodge grand caravan 3.8 code P0135 I bought the oxegen senser but Iam wondering if it could be the egr valve needs to be cleaned. what do ya think

P0135 = O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 1, sensor 1)

With no other symptoms other than the above code, I would think it was the O2 sensor.

Error code p0032 on 2004 dodge caravan. what is the code?

Hi.

P0032 means HO2S Heater Control Circuit High (Bank 1 Sensor 1).

It means high impedance from O2 sensor, check wiring to sensor and replace the sensor.
Check O2 sensor located in bank 1 (cylinder 1 side- see here), and after the catalitic converter (there is also an O2 sensor before cat converter).
