I take it you know where the fuse box is the fuse you are looking for is the third fuse up on the left hand side of the fuse box (note) the frist fuse is not used.

My fan for my a/c -heater stopped working. Is it a fuse issue, wiring,or control module?

Could be anyone of the things you have listed , plus , the blower motor it's self could be bad . There are videos on youtube on how to troubleshoot blower motor circuits . First you need to look at a wiring diagram for the blower motor circuit in your vehicle ! You can find free wiring diagrams at http://bbbind.com/free_tsb.html . Enter your vehicle info. year , make , model an year ,plus engine size. Then under system click on HVAC , then under subsystem click on blower motor circuit or something like HVAC controls may pop up on it's own. Click on search , then on the blue link that pop's up. Do you know how to read a wiring diagram ? Videos on youtube for that as well. Test And Replace Blower Motor Resistor Chrysler Town Country Caravan

My defrost and blower stopped working.

Check your fuses inside the cab of the car. On the inside of the fuse box cover there's a diagram showing which fuse controls the blower. Or in the engine compartment fuse box, check the blower relay.

Heater fan not working

Smack it and see if it comes on. If it does then the motor brushes are bad. If it does not come on, check the fuses. If the fuses are ok, check the voltage on the plug to the motor.

I had the heater and defroster on this morning. I stopped for gas and stopped the engine. When I started the car again the fan and defroster suddenly stopped and the heater, fan, nor defroster would come...

check the blower motor fuse, then you can turn truck on put the speed control to high. if fuse is blown replace fuse, if the speed control only works on high, the blower motor resistor needs replacing. It is on passenger side under glove box in close proximity to the blower motor. The fuse is under the hood on driver side. the cover should say fuses/relay on the top of cover, on most ford vehicles you will need to look in the owners manual for the position of the fuse.

The heater fan just stopped...

Check fuse #14(10amp) located in fuse box under driver steering wheel behind the lower dash cover.
Check fuse#12(40amp) located in fuse box under hood.
Replace fuse(s) if any are blow.

If fuse are good.Check blower and transisto next.
Do steps 1-3 with turn key on
1. Unplug connector and check for 12v at the blue/white wire at the blower motor(2-NAT)
-if there's no voltage you might have a bad relay or open in the wire
-if there's about 12v, go to step 2
2.Plug connector for blower motor and unplug connector for blower transistor(4-NAT). Take a jumper wire and jump the blue/black wire to body ground.
-if blower does not run, replace blower motor
-if blower motor runs, go to step 3
3.check the black wire at(4-NAT) for good ground.
-if you have good ground, then replace blower motor transistor.
good luck

WHEN I TURN THE ENGINE OFF THTEHEATER/FAN STILL RUNS, WHAT CAN BE DONE/

Your heater fan has a resistor/relay that has failed. It will need to be replaced. Look in the fuse panel to find the fuse for the Blower motor and remove it. That will stop the blower motor from running and killing your battery. The fuse panel cover should have a diagram of the fuses that will tell you which one it is. If the fuse diagram isn't on the panel cover, look for the fuse diagram in youe owners manual.

Which fuse operates the ac & heater blower on a 2001 ford Taurus. Box is under the hood with many empty socket and no diagram.

There is a fuse box inside the car to the left of the steering column. fuse 228 10 amp and fuse 208 40 amp. Check power to the blower motor connector. Check for water in blower. I have seen water get into blower motor and short out. Good luck I hope this helps.

Air stopped blowing on ac/heater

Check your fuses. If you have a test light, unplug the blower motor, start the car, turn the fan on, if you have power to the blower plug, the blower motor is bad. If no power, if it's not a fuse, check the blower motor resistor. Should be mounted right next to the blower motor. It is inserted into the evaporator box
