Question about 1994 Chevrolet Lumina APV
I replaced the battery on a 1994 lumina apv. I started driving to the gas station and the van develop a miss--almost like the engine was dying and starting back--heavy jerking feeling in the vehicle when it was missing. I drove it back to the house checked the coil wire, spark plug wires, found nothing wrong. When I restarted the van I had heavy black smoke and the smell of gas out of the exhaust. After 10 to 15 seconds of this rich condition the engine accelerated to around 1200-1500rpm(this is a guess the engine was running very fast) and stayed there as the idle speed. I shut the engine off, restarted it and had the same results as before. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix my problem?
You need to check all your vaccum lines look in the rear of the motor at the big vacuum line going to the pvc and check the one going to the map senser
