Question about 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix
All was fine and I went to the store, got out and locked the car. When I came out 15 minutes later I couldn't get in the drivers side. Was able to open the passenger side but once open it wouldn't close. Finally, I was able to get the passenger side to close but now I can't get in my car at all. The police came and tried to open the doors for me but weren't able.
Is there some trick to getting in when this happens and what would a long-term solution be. It's very cold here; could the door latches/locks be sensitive to cold?
I had the same problem. What I do now is get in from either one of the two back doors(I have a 4 door). A long term solution would be to take it to the body shop and get the mechanism fixed or buy a remote starter kit and hook it up so that you can also roll the windows down from outside the car. Problem solved.
