Question about 1993 Jeep Cherokee Country

My 1993 jeep cherokee country is acting like it is going to stall

Never does stall out but every time come to a stop it almost stalls out

My 1994 jeep grand cherokee in stop and go traffic it will act like it wants to stall but then it will go at the same time this only happens when i am in slow moving stop and go traffic or backing up


it sounds like your tps sensor might be out of time .(throttle position sensor) you can have this checked at a shop for little or no cost and adjusted for the shop rate of an hour

Check the crankshaft position sensor mine was doing the same thing also make sure there is nothing rubbing ontop it

Check:
- Fresh Air Intake Hose: Clogged or Damaged FreshAir Intake Hose.
- Carburetor: Worn, Faulty or Damaged Carburetor.
- Mass Air Flow Sensor: Damaged, Loose, or Faulty Mass Air Flow Sensor or Circuit.
- EGR Valve: EGR Valve Sticking Open/Leaking.
- Idle Air Control Valve: IAC Valve Sticking or Faulty.

possible Throttle Position Sensor (TPS).will it idle better when you lightly press on the gas?does it kill or run ruff when you come to a stop?try the TPS

have you checked the ac pulley bearing and ac compressor bearing? its what first comes to mind with the symptoms?
