Re: no spark, no start
This is an easy one! :-) You have a bad solder joint in the DME relay, it controls power to the injectors and coil. Replace the relay or have a talented person resolder the pc board inside it. Probably best to replace. Dave

check voltage to both coil and hall sender. should get battery voltage across two outer terminals on hall sender. battery voltage at black wire on coil. should get 5volts[pulsing] out put on center wire on hall sender. if input voltage ok but out put not, hall sender faulty. coil and fuel pump need an engine speed signal to activate.
sounds like the distributor may be faulty and the timing is out.try moving the distributor.loosen off the lock bolt on the base and move it slightly.mark the original spot first. The other thing is make sure the plugs are the right type.platinum plkugs will not run in some engines.
the spark gap for the 5.2 is on the label under the hood.
hook a test light to battery voltage. and touch the white wire coming out of the coil, have someone spin it over if light flashes and no spark replace coil. If light dosen't flash replace ignition module.
there is a relay that controls the spark and fuel. its sometime by the battery or under the dash right of the glove box. two relays in one pack you can replace both with seperate ones good luck i got stumped on one like that
