Typically you may be allowed a 15 minute break in morning and afternoon but usually with a 30 minute lunch. Depends on job and employer. Make a friendly inquiry to HR or your boss. Work flow nay dictate if can take those am and pm breaks.
hmm thinking --- i suspect the crankshaft sensor first if that doesnt cure the problem then maybe a faulty transistor or chip in the computer ? best i can offer is to ask a local mechanic to have a look or the most likely the cheapest way out ? and dont laugh - the main dealer
I think you will find that the mechanical control which changes the air flow from cold-hot-aircon has come off. I'm not familiar with your particular vehicle but usually the dash lever control is connected to a wire or lever to each air duct. If one of these is not connected then the duct will stay in the position where it was at when the control wire. lever came off. A good place to start.
The reason for cold then not cold is because it is a system that works in reverse of your radiator.
The gas cycle through the system. goes through the radiator of the the aircon system (not the same as the one for the engine). there is extracts the heat out of the air. the air is now cold and pushed into the car.
the warm aircon gas the made cold further along the system but the dont have enough in the system.
imagine athletic ruynning around a track. all 20 are bunched up together. there is w spot light in the centre of the infield shining on you.
the track is your aircon system. the spot light the air coming into your car. You are the car The athletes are the aircon gas.
When they run between you and the light the air is cooled off and you are getting cold air. now of goes the air (athletes) around the system and till they come along again you get hot air.
Now fill up the aircon system (put more runner on the track and voila, less light reached you cos there is more gas in the system.
However if you refill it and after a day or even just a week it the same again you have a leak in your system and will need to have it looked at by someone specializing in car aircon repairs.
Hi. Have your car aircon evaporator cleaned. Check also the drain hose. All water should go out of the car through the drain hose. There might be something clogging up the hose that is why water will run out the floor and that causes also the aircon to work intermittently.
you may need some aircon cleaning specially the evaporator, replace the dryer, ur thermo stat might not be working properly, have a leak test then get some freon charge
I had the same problem (during Summer!!) - If you take the Fan/A.C/Temp Control panel off, you'll probably find the plastic bracket that the control cable mounts to, is broken. I just used 3 zip-ties to hold everything in place. 30 minutes work, & 50c parts!! No problems since.
