Question about 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
My 2002 grand cherokee somtimes cuts out when i press the accelerator to the floor and hit the kick down and the yellow engine light comes on but it starts again when i turn the ignition off then start as normal. any ideas?
Ok... using a digital ohmeter (if you don't have a scan tool) check the throttle position sensor, mass air flow sensor and the manifold pressure sensor (MAP). Instructions for testing are too long for me to write them out, but can be found in any decent repair manual. As a last resort, you can swap parts from another known good vehicle (maybe from a friend) this won't damage anything unless you break something during r&r. I'm leaning towards the tps, but on this electronic junk, everything feeds off of everything else and it's easy to get fooled... could even be the crank sensor. Sorry to be so vauge but without being there and driving/testing myself I can't honestly be positive enough for a definite answer. (you did change the fuel filter, right?)
