Question about 1995 Buick Riviera
I have a 1995 Buick Riviera. When we try to start the car it will turn over but it will not fire. We've taken it to the repair shop and they weren't able to figure out what was wrong with it and tried to replace a couple different parts but that didn't help. Have replaced VATS, the ECU, and the Crank Sensor and it still will not start. Is there any way that we would be able to bypass the anti-theft system and if so how?
Had the same problem. it was the ecm

The only thing that prevents starting is if the computer doesn't see the correct resistance chip in the key. Other than that if the car turns over but never fires most likely it is the BCM (computer) under/behind the glove box.

Try locking the car and then unlocking the driver door with your key, then try to start, I have had many systems that have a lockout on them and by locking and unlocking with key resets the alarm, If not I can direct you to the factory service manuals, and they will walk you through figuring your problem. Hope this helps you!
