On the fuel pump if its diesal there are to adjustment screw. The first one is looking from the front of the motor is on the left hand side of the pump under the throttle linkage. to get to it you have to remove the side plate just take one bolt out and lossen the other one or the plate will fall down in under the manifold. Once off turn the engine over manually with a 15/16 socket on the crank. Bring the mark on the harmonic balancer and the engine together look inside the pump there should be a allen head screw showing you may need a mirror to see in. If you dont see the screw head turn engine over one complete turn. Know take a 5/16 allen key and turn the screw, only turn it a max 1/4 turn clockwise to much and you egt's will get to high. Now reinstall plate. This setting is for under max torque. 2nd screw is located at the fuel line going from the filter to the pump. On the the pump where the line goes in diconnect the line. Now some pumps have a brass adaptor take this off. Next take the same 5/16 allen key and tune the screw max 1/4 ture clockwise. reinstall adaptor and line.

Did you check the fuel pump relay ? This supplies B+ voltage to the fuel pump . They do go bad . It's located in the instrument panel relay block . Also check the inertia fuel cut off switch. If you don't know what these thing's are I suggest you take it to a ASE certified repair shop an save yourself some money . Or you can go to youtube an check out fuel system trouble shooting videos > Fuel Pump Electrical Circuits Description and Operation It would be to your benefit to watch the segment on ford fuel pump circuits .He talks about Chrysler , ford , GM .

1993 ford taurus v6 fuel pump does not stop after a few seconds of turning ignition on. pump just keeps running. any ideas. thank you

yes, it's probably the relay for the fuel pump that is sticking 'on' and causing the pump to continuously pump.

1993 chevy truck with 350 engine will turn over but not fire up. coil has spark, replaced fuel pump and fuel filter, changed oil, can hear fuel pump running, but still won't fire

Check the crank and cam sensor. If the magnetic pickup in any of these sensors are bad it will not send a signal to the computer for the correct spark in timing sequence. If they are very old and never been replaced I would replace these also for they do get weak from age and the heat from the engine. Magnets do lose their power from heat generating through them you know

My 1993 Chevy 350 fuel injected pickup just quit

Check to see if there is any power getting to the fuel pump, if there is 12 volts going to the fuel pump then replace the pump, if there is no voltage present, the problem could be the fuel pump relay, a fuse, or a break in the wiring.

regulator most likely. Need to check fuel pressure both when running and after a stall. My guess is 20 lbs when it starts, 0 after it stalls. Replace that fuel filter also.

Some GM products also incorporate the oil sender switch into that circuit for fuel pump, so that in case of an accident, engine shuts off, oil pressure drops, in turn, shuts off power to fuel pump. May be worth a look at what your getting for oil pressure, as well as checking switch/sender.

Vehicle will not start

take the ignition module out and take it to autozone for a free test, if bad replace it, but if you have spark at coil while cranking then you might have a fuel problem like fuel pump bad.
