Just got a tune up on my 2000 lincoln townca. Got the spark plugs and airfilter changed. When the mechanic took my old spark plugs out 2 of them look like they had oil on them. After he put the new spark...

The engine has an oil leak, it's most likely either a valve cover [ most likely ] or the intake gasket. It sounds like the oil going on the exhaust manifold and burning off causing the smoke. This should be addressed ASAP as this is a fire danger!

I would really like to know what is the easiest way to replace my spark plugs in my 1996 Lincoln Town Car, I know how to do it but the have no clue what to remove to make more room to work?

OK, not a problem, the only thing that is really going to make a difference is the tools. Get an extension abour ten to twelve inch 3/8 drive for your spark plug socket. It does help to move the fuel injectors around, so they are out of the way. Be sure to remove one at a time so you dont cross up any wires and offset the firing pattern. The heater core hoses can be worked around. Did mine today, took me about 15 minutes. Good luck.

I need the spark plug gap for a 96 lincoln town car with a 4.6 liter engine.

my Haynes manual doesn't list the gap setting. but on my mark vii. i have a sticker/label under the hood that shows the belt diagram and the spark plug gap, which is .054 maybe chiltons manual might have it. or you can ask "auto zone" or where you buy the plugs.
