I have a similar problem only my fan only works on high speed, I have changed the selector switches figuring that it wouldnt make contact and the new switch did the same thing. I know the fan works because it works on high. My next step is my resistor could this be the problem? I am going to a scrap yard tomorrow to see if I can find one. I will let you know if I get a satisfactory solution.

I own the same car, and my blower had not been working for 6 months but now that my son is driving this vehicle i figured let me try to fix it before taking it to the dealer.I checked everything that i could try from all the forums and nothing worked. Just today I went and gave it another try and looked under the passenger dash where the blower is located and banged on it underneath the casing. Lo and behold it started making a soft noise, the harder I hit and shook it the faster it started spinning. I know that this is not a long term solution but at least your windows won't fog. Hope this helps. I'll take apart as soon as I get a chance and try and fix it.

Fist you have to make sure its the fan. you can jump it from the battery to make sure it dosen't work. if it doesn't , you'll have to replace it. if it does, it's probably your fan switch. good luck

99 ford contour gauge shows running hot. Change both sensors near thermostat and the thermostat. Flushed system and burped it. Ac or heat makes no difference. Fans seems to be working. Any ideas?

Is it ACTUALLY overheating? Check for heat at the top and bottom radiator hoses, and at both heater core hoses. If one is cold then your radiator or your heater core may be plugged and in need of a individual flush.

98 contour heater worker stopped working

It's uner the dash, alot of time packages/people will loosen its one wire. If it also will not just blow on fan and is indead plugged in and has 12volt measuerd to ground it's a new fan motor you'll need.
