I get fuel and spark but when I go to start it it will not start. I was told that it could be the MAF and that it could be an air leak. When reading the manuel I wonder if it could be the crank sensor in the distributor? any ideas? thanks

check and or clean the (IAC) idle air control, this is what controls idling on most of todays cars and light trucks. if iac is removed for cleaning. clean out where it mounts to engine or fuel injection unit. good-day !
If your vehicle cranks but won't start; you first need to check the vehicle's fuel and ignition systems to ensure the vehicle is getting spark and fuel. If there is no fuel or spark you will have to further diagnose that particular system. If you have neither; the ECM is probably faulty. If the vehicle was running and suddenly quit and wouldn't start back, then the timing belt could also have broken.
Oh, great...just bought a '95 626 for my daughter and we're going thru the same problems. Was told to replace valve cover gasket and plugs and wires. replaced filters and put in new oil and fluids. Also read somewhere it could be alternator issues.
