Question about 1986 Volvo 740
Some one may give me a 1986 89 740 station wagon .
am i getting screwed?
is a 740 a 4 cylinder? is that good or bad?
.. what should i be wary of ?....re: trans. motor..etc.
will it pull me over a mountain?
These vehicles are known to get 300K + miles if they are properly maintained. Like any machine they can and will need repairs. How many miles on it? How much money do you want to invest? How do you want to use the vehicle - local commutes or long trips? I would start with oil change, tranny flush, timing belt, and check for any trouble codes. Do you have repair history on the vehicle. Does it leak any fluids?
