Question about 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass
My low coolant light stays on til the car warms up, then it turn off.
i replaced the thermostat and the coolant temp sensor and that didn't help.the car does not overheat.
I have a 97 Cutlass. The low coolant light is on as well. After talking to some of my mechanic buddy's this is a know problem with this model of vehicle (Cutlass/Malibu). You can either replace the coolant reservoir with the sensor or just ignore the problem as even with replacing the parts it is likely to come back on.
Hope this helps

I hope you have resolved this by now. If not, you can simply unplug the sensor. It will turn off the warning light and wont affect anything. The sensor is located on the passenger side of the radiator. It is hard to see it but its there!

I think everythings fine, those dummy lights can be reset but as long as you'renot overheating you're fine.
